The Dining Room
Each day begins for guests staying at The Reserve with a delicious three-course breakfast served in the Dining Room at the W.C. Brown House. With 10 private tables seating a total of 10-26 people, guests will enjoy a delightful start to the day. The original fireplace has been carefully preserved and the walls are covered with a stunning hand-painted mural that replicates wallpaper that was similar to what was originally in the home. Tastefully luxurious, yet period appropriate furniture creates a calming ambiance that only enhances the wonderful culinary experience.
Steps away from the Dining Room is the cozy library that has been carefully restored to its original glory. Stunning original wood built-ins house a wide selection of different literary offerings that guests are able to enjoy during their stay. With the large windows overlooking the front porch and the comfortable furniture present in the room, this is a perfect spot for guests to relax during their stay.
The Living Room
Right off the stately entry foyer of the W.C. Brown House, the wood panel lined living room is a welcoming space that guests have loved to enjoy. Carefully restored to preserve the original character, this is a warm and inviting space that is perfect for a morning coffee or evening cocktail. The comfortable furniture is ideal for casual conversation with other guests or just taking a moment to yourself. For those that are musically inclined, there is also a piano for your enjoyment.
Our favorite spot in the W.C. Brown House for a morning cup of coffee is the sunroom. Located off of the Living Room, this sun-drenched space has a light and airy feel that is the perfect atmosphere to start the day. As you are sitting in the sunroom, windows surround you overlooking the front porch, beautiful grounds, and there are seasonal views of the race track across the street. With both a table that is ideal for a quick board game or a casual seating area that is great to connect with other guests, there are many ways that our guests love to use this space.
The Butler's Pantry
Steps from the Dining Room, the Butler’s Pantry has been carefully restored to save the original cabinetry with subtle luxurious updates like a marble counter and coffee station. Guests enjoy the fully-stocked snacks and soft drinks that are available throughout the day for their enjoyment. In the afternoons, the culinary team at The Reserve provides complimentary homemade desserts that are a treat in themselves!
With two outdoor covered porches, it has never been easier to enjoy the Hot Springs and beautiful grounds at The Reserve. The first floor porch wraps around the front of the building and is furnished with oversized wicker furniture that is perfect for lounging or spending time outdoors. With idyllic views of the grounds and primary outdoor fire pit, it is a very tranquil setting. On the second floor, there is another outdoor porch that has views of the race track across the street. It is our favorite spot to enjoy Derby Days in the Spring or a nice glass of wine in the evening.
